Hello there and thanks for the visit!

My name is Daniel Strugariu, I’m a freelance illustrator and a former advertising art director based in Brașov, a city in hearth of the Carpathians. This place combines two things I love, the vibrant energy of the people and the mysterious and powerful energy of the forest. My work is influenced a lot by this contrast between the Urban and the Wild, between a walk to the coffee shop in my favorite sneakers and the sleeping habits of a very tired snail.

What I like the most is to bring a smile through my work. My illustrations are all about humour, playfulness and fun. I combine a colourful palette with an appetite for big powerful contrasts. I enjoy reducing things to their essence and communicating clear ideas through simple drawings.

In 4 years of experience as an illustrator I collaborated with clients like Vodafone, ING Bank, Mega Image, Bank of Ireland, Wiener Stadtwerke Austria, Harper James UK, Slovenské Elektrárne Bratislava, RetuRO, Regina Maria, AnaPan, Alka, Dedeman, Arctic, E.ON, Orkla, PayPoint and ProFM.

I have a 10 years experience in advertising and art direction. Half of this time I worked at McCann Bucharest where I had the chance to bring some of the most important international advertising awards. I use a lot of my advertising experience in my illustration projects, when it comes to creating and developing concepts, meeting deadlines, managing projects and building relationships with clients.
